Colorado's Resort City
The Tour - roughly 9 hours
From Denver we travel south to Colorado
Springs toward the famous mountain named after Lt. Zebulon Pike, who
explored the area in 1806. Tour the facilities that train future officers
at the United States Air Force Academy. Visit the Olympic Training Center, where more than 15,000 athletes are trained each year.
Shop along the footsteps of miners and pioneers in Old
Colorado City. Witness the red glory and mystifying beauty of the Garden
of the Gods. Or if you wish, travel the second highest road in North America
to the top of America's most famous mountain, Pikes
Peak. The Broadmoor Hotel, Seven
Falls, Cave of the Winds and the Cheyenne Mountain
Zoo are other optional destinations as well. For an additional fee (and time) we can also tour the Royal Gorge and visit the world's highest suspension bridge.
